then you’ll enjoy the stylized, exuberant (and ever so slightly edgy) illustrations of Mike Baker.  Mike is helping Jane and me to do something fun (and of course Pandora-ish) with our comment gravatars.  I (Lizzie) have mine uploaded–and we’re trying to sweet-talk Mike into providing a "sister illustration" with Jane’s signature hot-pink streak through the hair.  

Mike has a winning approach to his art blog.  He states up front that it feels pretty good to (finally) refer to himself as an illustrator. (Doesn’t every writer and artist identify with that transitional moment?)  And he makes the whole project into a celebration of illustration and experimentation. For those of you who enjoy drawing and Photoshopping, you might want to check out Mike’s Illustration Friday feature, which is a weekly, just-for-the-love-of-it invitation to his fellow illustrators to produce and showcase some art each week.   You’d have to be a hardened curmudgeon to leave this site feeling grumpy–Mike’s enthusiasm overflows, and his illustrations are warm and witty.  My favorite of his drawings (below) is titled "Excessive Lashes."  Haven’t you known at least one woman with EYELASHES? (giggle)  I’ve added Mike to the Pandoration blogroll, and I look forward to seeing lots more of his illustrations.  Thanks, Mike, for helping us warm up Pandoration a bit.
